artifacts

My latest passion keeping me burning the midnight oil I’ve called artifacts. Here, I combine my abilities as a jeweler with my love for creations from other cultures & eras to transform pieces of history into wearable heirlooms. Everything is, obviously, one of a kind.

manna:

A word meaning divine or spiritual food as gifts from god, this collection focuses on my interest in gemology. I am exploring the color, cuts and clarities in both faceted and cabochon gems combined with apricot, green and white golds.

raw:

Several years ago I fell in love with raw montana sapphires for their textural patterns and translucent colors. In addition to sapphire crystals, I enjoy working with all natural mineral surfaces and other unaltered materials such as fossils, petrified wood, claws and bone.

texture:

Texture is fascinating because it gives a modern piece of jewelry a sense of history. Multiple methods can be used to achieve a dramatic and contrasting ‘skin’ that can transport the wearer to another era or culture without losing its contemporary look. I will never stop searching for new textures.

byzantine:

The rich textiles, prolific gemstones and the mosaics of the Byzantium provide an endless source of inspiration. Hefty gold with melted, hammered texture and embedded with bright red garnet is the focus of this collection.
